Child Health Awareness Foundation Marches on World Birth Defects Day

Every year, The Child Health Awareness Foundation celebrates World Birth Defects Day on March 3rd,  2022.

Birth Defects are 5th leading cause of Neonatal death with a 3% occurrence rate. Spreading awareness brings preventative care, cure or rehabilitation of the many birth defects. Each speaker brought their own personal experience and expertise to mitigate the many side effects that many families are unaware of.

In association with Association of Pediatric Surgeons of Bangladesh(APSB) and CARe Medical College a procession, a rally was held in front of Parliament House at Manik Mia avenue for the awareness of Birth defects.

A discussion meeting also held at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital Auditorium, Sher E Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Meeting was presided by Prof Dr. Md. Abdul Aziz MP, President of APSB. Prof. Dr. Bijoy Krishna Das Executive Director of Child Health Awareness Foundation, Mr. A B M Mobasher Hossain Program Director of Smile Train Bangladesh, Prof Dr. Mirza Kamrul Zahid General Secretary of APSB, Prof Dr. Jahangir Alam Director of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute, Dr. Probir Kumar Sarkar Deputy Director of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute, Prof. Dr. Aminur Rashid and many other teachers of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital delivered their speech.
